A film curriculum was developed for A Company of Girls in August 2004, by program director Odelle Bowman and filmmaker Martha Almy. The focus of the film program is to promote the ideals of ACOG's core program, while teaching practical aspects of filmmaking. Since the film program's inception, girls in the Touring Company ensemble, ranging in age from 11 to 18, collaborated on writing, developing, shooting and editing three projects: video self portraits, four-minute non-dialogue narratives, and one-minute experimental pieces based on haiku poems. Each of these projects reflects issues and ideas as unique and complex as the young artists who made them. The girls are currently focused on documentary projects.

Apple Computers educational department generously loaned ACOG four Mac G5 computers from February to April 2005. This allowed students to work with Final Cut Pro and to take their projects from concept to completion, building technical skill and confidence. Three of the girls' projects screened before festival audiences in April 2005 and ACOG looks forward to submitting their work for festival consideration nation wide.
