Visual arts at ACOG+ are a powerful tool for self-reflection. Self-portrait work is a core part of our art curriculum, inviting students to explore identity and self-expression. Created in many forms—from Cray-Pas and watercolor, to paper and fabric—these portraits encourage reflection, creativity, and confidence as students tell their own stories through art.

 

Alongside this work, students engage in a wide range of visual art experiences, experimenting with materials and techniques across many forms of art-making, including reverse glass painting, embroidery, felting, painting, watercolor, and more. Around the room you will see examples of beautiful artwork and self-portraits our students have created over the years!
